Earth-Moon.grv

The simplest system - the Earth, with the Moon in a nearly circular orbit, used in Tutorial 1. The masses of the bodies are accurate, as is their mean distance, but it doesn't attempt high accuracy. Newton said that trying to accurately work out the orbit of the moon was the only thing which gave him a headache. This was mainly because of the major influence of the Sun's gravity, which isn't present in this simple simulation.
