MarkAble 2 Released!
I'm excited to announce the release of a major new version MarkAble, version 2.
It has been rewritten from scratch, and I think I can immodestly say that it is a huge improvement.
Some features:
- Much faster, as it no longer needs to convert to MP3 first
- By default converts direct to AAC format (m4b files)
(note however that MP3 audiobooks are still supported if you prefer) - Merges AAC files directly
- More reliable (I hope!)
- Embeds chapter stops at file/track boundaries or at regular intervals
- Embeds image and sets iTunes artwork/thumbnail.
- Optionally sets iTunes encoder bit rate for you and restores previous settings on exit.
- Much nicer and easier to use interface.
Personally, I think it's magic!
Upgrade Pricing
Anyone who bought MarkAble version 1.6.x within the month of October 2008 will qualify for a free upgrade to MarkAble 2. If you have not already received an email from us with your new registration key, please contact us at mark_upgrade08@rightword.com.au.
Anyone who purchased any edition of MarkAble between 1 January 2007 and 1 October 2008 qualifies for the upgrade price of USD $12 (a discount of $6 off the full price).
If you purchased MarkAble before 1 January 2007, you qualify for the upgrade price of $14 (a discount of $4 off the full price).
These discount offers are valid up to 31 December 2008.
