The first is the definitive biography (I'm in the midst of reading this at present, and will write a review to be published here soon). Essential reading for all Collins fans:

This one is fascinating for its revelations of Wilkie Collins' convoluted relationships with women: The following collection of Dickens' letters to Collins is very well worth reading. Alas, Collins' own letters were destroyed at his request when he died. Interesting that Dickens thought "No Name" a better novel than "The Woman in White" And the rest show that Collins is well served by the academic community, I guess. Take your pick. Personally, I'm tempted by the Dorothy Sayers work:
